L to R: Macadamia, Beauty Protector, Marcelle, Harvey Prince and Cynthia Rowley Beauty

Cynthia Rowley Beauty – Creamy Lip Stain

I got this in the shade Poppy, and I think it’s an appropriate name for it! it’s sheer coral. I’m telling you guys coral is going to be the color for spring, or already is. I love how tiny the size of this sample is. Usually I complain that the size is super tiny, but this one is good tiny. It’ll fit anywhere, although I feel like I might lose it the next day.

Beauty Protector – Beauty Wash Body Cleanser

Not a fan of the size. See what I’m saying from above? :) I feel like for body wash, you need to give us sample that can be used for at least a whole week! This is probably going to last me two washes at most.. Not a fan of the smell either. But I can’t complain much because it is a $10 bag.

Harvey Prince – Hello Perfume

In my YouTube video, I did feel like I have this sample already. Turned out that I do, but in the shampoo/conditioner form. This smells really good and I can totally use a small spritzer spray bottle to put in my purse. Sometimes I do get a little smelly from being in the sun during the day.

Marcelle – Hydra-C 24H Energizing Hydrating Gel

Honestly, not too sure on how to use it. I feel like this is going to be one of those moisturizer sample I have in my bathroom. I use it when I’m running out of my regular face moisturizer. Always handy to have laying around the house.

Macadamia Professional – Nourishing Moisture Oil Treatment

I actually picked this sample for the month. It came in a glass bottle and it’s pretty fancy. The smell is the smell of oil, I thought it would smell nicer but it’s OK. Will give this a try, maybe just a tiny drop because not a fan of the smell.. :)

I’m pretty OK with what I got in this month’s Birchbox. Sample size wise, they’re smaller than my ipsy. It’s a hit and miss with Birchbox, I might need to update my beauty profile.

L to R: UD Lipgloss, Luxie Beauty, Briogeo, UD Lip Pencil, IT Cosmetics and Pixi by Petra

Urban Decay – 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil & Revolution High Color Lip Gloss

I love Urban Decay, who doesn’t? My glam bag came with two pretty generous (but kind of weird packaging) sample of the shade Failbait (a pretty combination of maybe red and coral) and Bittersweet (a pretty bold purple). It also came with the lip pencil that supposed to prime your lips before applying any products.

Luxie Beauty – Tapered Blending Eye Brush 205

I heard of these brushes from Promise, Michelle Phan’s sister-in-law who also does make-up tutorials/transformation on YouTube. They’re this pretty brush with pink and bronze/rose gold trim on it. It’s really soft and I can never have enough beauty brushes! :)

IT Cosmetics – Your Skin but Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+

I heard so many good things about IT cosmetics and I’m super excited to try this CC cream. It came in the shade medium, so hopefully it’ll match my skin when I get a bit tanner.

Briogeo – Rosarco Milk

I’m not super sure if I’m going to like this. I already have two hair products that I use after I wash my hair. But I’ll give this a try regardless. I can tell you now that I’m not a big fan of the smell..

Pixi by Petra – Beauty Bronzer

To be honest with you guys, I’m not a bronzer girl. I love my blush though! I think part of it is because I’m scared of playing around with bronzer. I don’t want my face to look overly baked or bronzed because I’m usually pretty pale. This bronzer however is pretty subtle when I swatched it on the back of my hand. I feel pretty confident in playing with this bronzer because the color is pretty soft.

That is all in my May ipsy glam bag! Overall, I’m pretty satisfied at how generous the sizes are. I’m excited about pretty much everything in my bag. Watch the unboxing video I just posted on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqONIU2FwuY

What are some of your favorites?

SoapBox Shampoo & Conditioner – #SudsySelfie | Influenster VoxBox

I want to come in here and talk about Influenster for a bit!

If you don’t know what Influenster is.. It’s basically a website where you can connect all your social media and they calculate your social impact score. You get to review, ask questions and answer others’ questions about products from make-up to food! Another plus about Influenster is their Vox Box!

Vox Box is basically boxes they send out every so often to members. They are free and you are required to review them in your social media. Each box comes with their own tasks. Some require you to post on Instagram, tweet on Twitter, write a blog post (like this one), or even upload an unboxing/review video on YouTube.

I recently got a box with SoapBox goodies! Again, I received them for free for review purposes..

I got the Bataua shampoo and conditioner! They smell SO GOOD, you can smell it from outside the plastic baggy and the box when I got the package.

Bataua Shampoo & Conditioner

The shampoo to me is a bit too drying. I really like it when there’s lots of bubble, but this one doesn’t really give you that.. I usually pour extra shampoo and use more water. On the other hand, I love the conditioner! It is not greasy at all and when you wash it off, it doesn’t feel slippery. They are pretty affordable and you can purchase them from Target.

Another thing about this brand.. They are doing so many good things around the world. So for every purchase, they donate a portion of the profit to create programs that benefit a bunch of people. Every bottle comes with a “hope code” that helps track where the money you spend to purchase that bottle goes. My shampoo “hope code” reveals that they’re implementing a water safety programs for school kids in India.

Super awesome brand! Affordable and they’re doing good for others. I’ll definitely be trying on some of their other scents.

L to R: Liz Earle, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Whish, Beauty Protector & Cargo.

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Clear Brow Gel

This was actually the main reason I got this box! However, I tried it once and I didn’t like how the gel makes my brow hair so stiff. I didn’t think it was going to have the same effect on my brow like regular hair gel.

Whish – Shave Crave Shaving Cream

I got a Whish lotion but the smell was lavender. Didn’t really like it. The smell of this shaving cream was blueberry and I like it :)

Cargo – Swimmables Water Resistant Blush

My first Cargo cosmetics product and I love this thing! I got the shade Los Cabos and it’s perfect. Not sure of how “swimmable” this blush is, but I shall give it a try in the summer :)

Beauty Protector – Protect & Oil

Heard about this brand and supposedly the protect and oil is good for your hair. Haven’t tried it yet, but I’m excited! I’ve been using one of those Morrocan oil I got from Target.

Liz Earle – Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion

I don’t know about this.. It sounds gimmicky. It’s supposed to be a lotion, but it’s super watery. We shall see!

April 2015 – ipsy Glam Bag “Beautifully Bohemian” Review

About – ipsy is a subscription beauty service that delivers right to your door every month. Products vary from beauty products, hair care products, skincare products and beauty tools.

Cost – $10 + tax

JulieG – Nail Color

I’ve never heard of Julie G before but I already fall in love with her nail polish collection, well the one that I got from ipsy :) The color is stunning and this nail polish lasts longer than others I own (longer than OPI and essie). When I tried this on, I didn’t even have any first or top coat but it didn’t chip as fast as others. I will definitely check out her other colors and you can get them at Rite Aid or at the Jesse’s Girl website.

Lather – Ultra Light Face Lotion

I don’t know why but I’m not too excited to try this. It’s just been sitting there untouched. Maybe I’ll try next time I’m running out of my moisturizer..

theBalm Cosmetics – NUDE Dude Shadow Single

This shadow single is similar to the highlighter sample I got from ipsy from theBalm Cosmetics. I honestly haven’t even given this shadow single a try but I already got the full size palette because ipsy had it on sale for $20 with free shipping! :) Can’t you tell I’m a makeup junkie? Anyway, this is such a neutral color that I know I can wear them everyday. However, this particular shade that I got (Fit) is pretty dark so I probably won’t use it as much as the other lighter shades on the palette.

Starlooks – Satin Finish Lip Gloss

The color swatch is so cute! I’m excited to pair this with an earth-tone color lipstick and give it a shimmer in the middle of my lips with this lip gloss :)

Mullein & Sparrow – Mini Lip & Cheek Tint

Not sure if I want my cheek to feel sticky from this; I honestly don’t have much experience with cheek tint. I for sure will utilize this as a lip tint though.

March 2015 – Birchbox Review

About – Birchbox is a subscription service that give you five sample-sized products every month. Like ipsy, the products range from makeup, skin care and hair care products.

Cost – $10 + tax every month.

Vasanti – BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator

I honestly haven’t used this. Not super exciting..

Evologie – Intensive Blemish Serum

I tried this a few times because it seems so promising. I don’t think I see any difference on my blemishes, but I might need to try it longer and be more consistent. One thing I noticed though, it smelled so strong! I think that’s good for an acne product.. Right?

it’s a 10 – Miracle Leave-In Product

I LOVE THIS THING!! It’s one of the products I picked to be in my Birchbox and I just fell for it! My sisters use them and their hair always smell so good. I even bought the full size after finishing my sample from Birchbox. Love love love this product!!

Mirenesse – Mattfinity Lip Rouge

Love the color! The shade I got is called Paris. it’s a bit of a mauvy color and I love how it feels on my lips. Basically it doesn’t dry up your lips but it looks matte enough.

Etat Libre – d’Orange Like This

The smell of this perfume is not super citrusy, which I like, but it’s just not for me. I like my girly perfume more! :)

March 2015 – ipsy Glam Bag “Floral Fantasy” Review

About – ipsy is a subscription beauty service that delivers right to your door every month. Products vary from beauty products, hair care products, skincare products and beauty tools.

Cost – $10 + tax

LeeAnni Eco – 3 in 1 Revolution Light

I haven’t really give this product a chance; mainly because something about the 3-in-1 thing that I’m not a big fan of. But I just read the product description again on the ipsy website and it seems like it’s something I need to try to keep my face moisturized.

Pixi by Petra – Mesmerizing Mineral Duo

I need to say that this mini duo shadow palette is really pigmented. I accidentally pushed way too hard on the powder with my fingers and I got to see how thick the consistency of the powder is. I usually grab this when I’m late to work and I use both colors on my lids so my eyes look a bit brighter and I can get out of the house faster :)

NYX Cosmetics – Butter Lipstick

I got this lipstick in the shade ‘Hunk’ and  you see how purple the packaging is! I thought the colour would be just like that, but it’s not! It’s a soft pink/purpley shade and I think it’s so pretty for spring. It’s almost like a transition color between fall and spring. I really love this color and it’s been my favorite all month long!

pur~lisse beauty – Pur~delicate Gentle Soymilk Cleanser & Makeup Remover

I think I tried something similar to this. Not a big fan of it though. Maybe I’ll give this one another try to see if it works better than the one I tried before.

Evelyn Iona Cosmetics – Concealer

My first impression was to critique the packaging. It’s so hard to fit my finger in the opening of the pod if I’m in a hurry.
